About John Matthew Anthony

Matt Anthony practices in the areas of civil litigation, arbitration, commercial law, and corporate law. He has successfully litigated cases for numerous clients in state trial courts, state appellate courts, Federal District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has also represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service as well as in commercial arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Anthony advises nonprofit and tax-exempt clients in the area of executive compensation and compensation practices from an organizational perspective.

Mr. Anthony is a founding Shareholder of Anthony & Middlebrook, P.C. as well as the Firm's Managing Shareholder; prior to that, he served as an assistant county and district attorney and engaged in private practice with other firms. Mr. Anthony is AV Rated by the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating System. An AV rating is a testament to the fact that his peers rank Mr. Anthony at the highest level of professional excellence.
